•NEW and RETURNING (after 12 months) PATIENTS for Dr Drake: New Patients and Returning Patients that have not been in the office for over a year must call 604 988 7080 to make an appointment. For Dr Chu, book directly on the website. New regulations are in force that make it obligatory for us to do a new intake form when we have not seen you during that time. Intake forms are mandatory! Please complete your intake form in advance, or it will take away from your treatment time.

•CREDIT CARD ON ACCOUNT: Credit cards will be required to be added to an account to book an appointment. The card numbers are encoded and not visible once added. Your card will not be charged unless treatment is delivered, or the cancellation policy is breached, and other payment methods are not used.

•24-HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY: If an appointment is canceled or forgotten within 24 hours of the treatment time, the credit card on file may be charged.

•PARKING: There are two options - the one you have used for coming to FIH, which is the down ramp under the Lonsdale Quay Market. The other option is the Impark, which is on Chadwick Court, just after you have turned left off Chesterfield onto Carrie Cates Court. At the south end of the parking lot, there is a door that lets you out onto the Drop Off Loop for the SeaBus. Lonsdale Quay Market parking is less expensive than the ImPark option.

•AFTER 6PM/WEEKENDS: Doors to building foyer will be locked. We will meet you by the elevator foyer to collect you as I come down to exit the previous patient. If I’m not there within 5 minutes of your appointment, text me at 604 789 7099.

NEW CHIROPRACTOR - DR. JADE CHU is joining Root Cause Chiropractic!
It's been a year - and I decided to try one more time to find someone to give the gift of my 42 years of experience, but also to teach the concept of Root Cause Chiropractic so that it would continue to evolve in the hands of someone who understood the concept and could build on it.

I've found that person - Dr. Jade Chu.

Dr. Jade will be working at Waterfront Business Centre starting November 1st. At first, she will be working in my office #214 while I am on holiday, and then we will share my office space for a couple of weeks. Later in the month, she will be getting her own chiropractic table and working in Suite 201, which is by the front desk reception area. Please come in and have a seat and she will come to get you.

I’ve been fortunate to have incredible chiropractors in my life who showed me the power of chiropractic care firsthand. As a teenager, I began care to address chronic pain in my back, shoulders, forearms, and knees — the result of playing high-level sports and spending countless hours practicing piano. Over time, I noticed remarkable changes in how my body felt and ultimately functioned. Those experiences sparked my interest in chiropractic and set me on the path to making it my career.

I earned my Honours Specialization Bachelor of Health Sciences from Western University and went on to graduate from Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, California in 2021.

I was born and raised on the beautiful North Shore and am passionate about living an active, health-focused lifestyle. You’ll often find me running, hiking, skiing, golfing, or playing tennis and pickleball.

My appreciation for movement and wellness drives my approach as a chiropractor: to help you feel and function at your best, move better, and continue enjoying the activities you love. I’m excited to continue serving the community I grew up in and supporting people of all ages in achieving their health goals. I’m also thrilled to be collaborating with Dr. Linda Drake at Root Cause Chiropractic, where I have the privilege of receiving mentorship from her decades of experience and knowledge — guidance that will continue to shape my practice.

Looking ahead, I see myself continuing to grow with my patients and community — expanding my skills, deepening my understanding, and helping even more people experience the benefits of chiropractic care.

Dr. Linda Drake D.C.

From a very young age, I knew I wanted to be in the health field. My Mom was disabled as a teenager; however, she never let it stop her from doing what she wanted to do. Her life demonstrated that disabilities can be overcome with strength and humour. I have taken her example to heart.

I chose chiropractic as a profession as it is both a science and an art, which has allowed me to utilize both my intellect and my creative side. I’ve had many clinics in many locations! North Shore Chiropractic and North Shore Wellness Center up on West 14 th /Lonsdale, and Foundation for Integrated Health on Esplanade and in Lonsdale Quay. 42 years! Yes I like change! My husband Bill and I closed FIH October 2025 and I opened my solo practice Root Cause Chiropractic. I still wasn’t finished working plus it gave me time to figure out how/whether I would continue to search for my ideal acolyte and pass my unique technique on to someone new. This was important to me because my many and lovely patients were concerned about my retiring! and I didn’t want to leave them without care.

So I am so fortunate to have found Dr Jade Chu to mentor and have continue my life’s work. Talk about lucky!

The North Shore is my home – I was born here and have spent all my life on the North Shore. Bill and I love to ski, sail, bike tour, camp and swim which indulges our love of adventure traveling. When I am not reading “technical” books, I love to read fantasy series, especially Arthurian legends.
